Bible Studies

Sundays

All Sunday Classes meet at 9:30 a.m. between the two worship services.

Youth Sunday School - Studying a variety of topics, Sunday School classes are offered for youth ages three through High School. (Ages three through sixth grade meet dowstairs. Seventh and Eighth grade meet in the church bell tower. High School students meet in the upstairs classroom.)

Women's Bible Study - The Women's Bible Study is currently following the same daily topics as the Sunday School children. (Meets in the Church Library.)

Pastor's Class - Romans: What is the core of the Gospel and what does it mean for our life in this world, or life with God, and our hope for the future? Find out as we read through St. Paul's letter to the Romans. (Meets in the Parish Hall.)


Wednesdays

Men's Bible Study - 6:30 a.m. - Join us as we read through the prophet Isaiah. He served a fractious people in a difficult time, and yet was given to hold up one of the clearest pictures of our Savior that we see in the Old Testament. We meet at Bob Evans on Big Hollow Road at 6:30 a.m. for 45 minutes of discussion, fellowship, and food.

Evening Bible Study - 7:00 p.m. - 2nd Kings: See sin and grace, idolatry and faithfulness, weakness and strength, and the whole drama of God's persistent love for a sin-ruined humanity as God continues to fulfuill His promise to bring forth a Savior from the descendents of David. (Meets in the Parish Hall.)


Thursdays

Afternoon Bible Study - 1:00 p.m. - 1st and 2nd Thessalonians: These two letters are among the earliest that Paul wrote during his missionary journeys. The Church in Thessalonika had experienced trouble and hardship, but remained resilient in fath. Come learn how Paul encouraged them by pointing them to the glory of the coming Lord, and our high calling as His witnesses in this present age. (Meets in the Parish Hall.)

Lutheranism 101- 7:00 p.m. - Whare are the basic teachings of the Christian faith? What gifts are given us by God so that we can live with Him in peace? Why do we worship the way we do? Where do Lutherans come from anyway? These questions and others -- including yours -- may well be answered during our Lutheranism 101 class. Invite your friends, come as you are, and be ready to grow. (Meets in the Parish Hall.)
